********************Dr. Hart's book "Mentoring From The Hart" is coming soon!********************
Celebrities experience widespread recognition, possess an influential position in society, and are often emulated by worldwide audiences. This dynamic provides celebrities the platform to use their notoriety as a means of guidance, influence, or change. Dr. Hart interviewed and studied over 100 celebrity figures while researching her dissertation titled: Life in the Public Eye: A Narrative Investigation of the Impact of Mentor Relationships of Celebrity Figures.
Mentoring From The Hart shares these mentoring stories and the findings of Dr. Hart’s research. Among the celebrity participants are Oprah Winfrey, Clint Eastwood, Jeff Goldblum, William Shatner, Dr. Temple Grandin, President Bill Clinton, Vice President Kamala Harris, Senator Chuck Grassley, and many others. The celebrity figures shared pieces of their personal and professional lives to help each of us understand how profoundly a mentor can impact our lives. Mentoring From The Hart will take the reader on a life changing adventure to find mentors that will change their life forever!
"Learning To Lead" represents a journey of learning -- learning to compose scholarly work, learning to research with integrity, and learning to lead. This collection of essays is the culmination of an advanced leadership course taught as part of a doctoral program within the Drake University School of Education.
The collection of these chapters contains the thoughts and reflections surrounding topics that have importance not only to this doctoral cohort, but in each of the fields to which they are contributing: elementary and secondary schools, colleges and universities, businesses and non-profits.
Dr. Hart wrote Chapter 13: A Recipe for Success. Service Leadership and Mentoring: Key Ingredients in Assisting High School Students At-Risk to Drop Out.
Dr. Hart’s dissertation was titled Life in the Public Eye: A Narrative Investigation of the Impact of Mentor Relationships of Celebrity Figures. Mentoring is an important topic of interest, not only by celebrities and other public figures, but by the population in general. Because there is a dearth in the literature of celebrities and mentoring, Dr. Hart’s research contributed to that body of knowledge.
